  • Sampling in music production

Description

Marcin Szuster’s workshop will consider the broadly defined sampling in music production. He will use “live” vinyl records, a turntable, an AKAI MPC Renaissance station and DAW Ableton Live environment, in order to demonstrate all sampling techniques necessary for music production. You will learn the interface and tools for sampling plus you will find out how to use samples cut out directly of old-school vinyls. You will discover new techniques of manipulation of previously recorded sounds and you will understand what is the difference between reusing already existing sounds and giving new life to a sample and simply stealing someone else’s music.
